What with drum & bass becoming ever more international, at Lifestyle we wanted to champion this fact and help shine a spotlight on the growing scenes outside of the UK. After last years landmark ‘Australian Connection LP’ we have turned our attention slightly closer to home, this time having organised the ‘Belgian Connection LP’.

Belgium is country that has been synonymous with a strong rise in dnb in recent times, and we felt this country was the perfect place to launch the next release in our ‘Connection’ series.

The producers from the land of beer and chocolate have really delivered, showcasing an all-round album with a little bit of something for everyone. Liquid, Half-time, Neuro, Tech, Rollers, whatever you want to call it, this release has it…

We see this as another real defining moment for us as a label and Belgian drum & bass, and we couldn’t be prouder to be releasing this with our friends from just across the channel.

I’ve definitely enjoyed Blu Mar Ten over the years. I have to admit that one of my favorite tunes is still Silk Road from their Black Water album. But anyway, back to the freebie…GDPR has impacted us all, and it seems BMT is doing it right but updating their mailing lists by giving something valuable in return. Free Download: Amoss – Fathoms

Amoss (the duo Andy Tweedale & James Evans) just recently announced their album album “Everything is Temporary” on Dispatch RecordingsDispatch Recordings.

If you want more background on the album, I recommend you check out the May 1 article in UKF, Everything You Need To Know About Amoss – Everything Is Temporary. It covers some  poignant insight  on where the sound for the album came from. For example, James shares why now is the time for this sound: “Yeah if we released it a few years ago it might not have got the same reception because everyone was really focused on neuro. But there is a call for the grittier, rawer sound of drum & bass again.”
